Meet Our Team
We are dedicated to covering our communities with Green Dots.
Our team trains high schools students, college students/staff, and community businesses/agencies to be active bystanders in our community and help reduce violence. Trained businesses and schools are seen as leaders and a great example for the community. Our main goal is to create a culture that believes violence is not okay and we all must do our small part to help. Our Green Dot workshops sets the skills and confidence needed to be the change we want to see in the world around us.

New Beginnings offers confidential crisis and long-term therapy services to sexual assault survivors of all ages, as well as their family and friends. All services are provided free of charge.
We are based in Owensboro, Kentucky, with additional offices in Henderson and Hartford, serving Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster counties in Kentucky.
We are committed to preventing power-based personal violence in our communities by offering Green Dot training to our schools and community. Our goal is to cover our 7 county areas with Green Dot spots to create a safe place to live. This website is here to help educate and understand the Green Dot Strategy.

Community-Level Prevention Projects:
Owensboro Safe Bars – Downtown Owensboro's bars are stepping up for safety! Through specialized training in the Green Dot bystander intervention program, bar staff are now equipped to recognize potential risks and safely step in when needed. These establishments also offer drink-testing coasters, drink covers, and visible prevention posters to help protect patrons. It's more than good service—it's a commitment to a safer, more caring community.
Green Dot Safety Signs in the Parks – Owensboro City Parks are taking a stand for safety and community well-being by installing Green Dot safety signs throughout the Green Belt and city parks. These signs provide valuable information on how to be an active bystander and offer tips for staying safe—both physically and mentally. It's a clear message: Our parks are committed to being safe, welcoming spaces where everyone can relax, have fun, and feel supported.
